SUMCAM support

Point. Tap. Total. Help with the camera calculator for iPhone and iPad.

Add printed numbers

  1. Allow camera access when you start scanning.
  2. Keep the entire printed number inside the coral frame and hold the camera steady.
  3. Check the detected value, then tap its highlight or number card to add it. You can also swipe right on the card.
  4. Tap the total or Finish & review to check entries, name your session, or export it.

Correct a reading

Use Undo to remove your last entry, or remove a specific entry in Review. Choose Manual to enter a number directly. Recognition depends on print quality, lighting, and camera movement; always check values before adding them.

Repeated values and number formats

Two labels with the same number can be added separately. A detection you have accepted stays hidden while it remains visible; move to the next label to scan that value again. Manual entry allows repeats at any time.

In Settings, choose decimal-point format (1,234.56) or decimal-comma format (1.234,56). Percentages, dates, and product identifiers are excluded conservatively. Unit labels do not convert values.

Camera or permission trouble

If access was denied, enable Camera for SUMCAM in your device’s Settings. You can still use Manual without camera access. For unclear readings, improve lighting, avoid glare, and keep the label still. If another app interrupts the camera, return to SUMCAM and resume scanning.

Save, export, and delete

Your active tally saves as you work. Save & start new moves it to History. Review offers text sharing, CSV, and PDF export. Delete individual saved sessions or all saved sessions from History. Exported copies and backups are managed separately.
